Yosemite Engagement | Adam + Lucy

A beautiful, warm Yosemite engagement! Adam + Lucy are such a beautiful couple & I was so excited when she told me they wanted to take photos there! These cuties love to adventure and camp, so Yosemite National Park was the perfect location for them!

Yosemite engagement sessions are a fan favorite with a lot of my clients and you can see why! When the sun sets, it gets so warm and glowy! I mean, look at how golden these photos are! Plus, Taft Point offers some insane views along with the prettiest light rays I’ve ever seen!

Yosemite National Park is a perfect location for so many different types of shoot! It’s a great spot for engagements, family, and especially elopements! This location is only 3.5 hours from Monterey and offers so many unique options. If you do decide to shoot here, make sure you get a permit so that you don’t run into any problems.

However, since this is such a gorgeous location for photos, it can get pretty busy. I typically recommend my clients to shoot here on a weekday where there aren’t as many people. If you we do end up shooting on a weekend, I know of a few other spots in the park that aren’t as crowded! Depending on the location, our start time will change if we have to hike a little!

Also, to be transparent, it is a small hike to Taft Point. About a mile hike one way, there is slight elevation on the way back. I recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothes to the location and change once we get there (bring a towel if you’re shy to change in public lol)
