Adventurous Big Sur Engagement

We had so much fun at this adventurous Big Sur engagement session! Austin + Cassie were so sweet from the minute they inquired! Working with them was a breeze and we laughed pretty much the whole time. These love birds were visiting from out of state and I had to show them the beauty of Big Sur!

Cassie told me they wanted cliff views and also wanted some beach photos! I knew Garrapata State Park would be the perfect spot for them.

Big Sur is a perfect location for engagements, elopements, and more! It offers a variety of options for a shoot, with many spots to pull off and shoot. This location is just near Monterey and attracts many guests from all over the world, for good reason. I highly recommend shooting here on a weekday to avoid the crowds and have these areas to yourselves. If you can’t do a weekday, sunrise would be a better option!

We started up by the cliffs and ventured down to a cool little rocky area. Austin + Cassie were naturals in front of my camera (even though they were nervous at first) I love getting to know my couples better so that I can make them comfortable around me and my camera!

After we finished up by the cliffs, we drove a little bit further down to get some gorgeous photos at the beach. We hiked down to the beach and had the area to ourselves.
