Moody Big Sur Engagement Session

Addie + Justin rocked this moody Big Sur engagement shoot! It’s so nice shooting with moody light on the beach. Firstly, Addie + Justin were so chill and were naturals in front of the camera. The sunset was perfect and I was getting all of the moody beach vibes that I was craving. Thankfully the beach wasn’t super crowded and we were able to shoot and have the whole area to ourselves.

Their outfits were so cute but I will say that Big Sur is usually very windy and chilly! I recommend dressing in layers so that you’re warm and cozy! I also provide a Pinterest board to help my clients get some inspiration for their session. This along with the prompts I gave them turned out to be the perfect summer night photoshoot!

I get a lot of people nervous to get photographed because they don’t know what to do or how to pose. But, don’t worry! I will prompt you to look just as natural as these two did for their session. Furthermore, I like to cater each session to the couple’s dynamic. For instance, if you are more laid back, then I will use more relaxed prompts and poses to really convey your relationship. It’s all in the little details to show your love story.
