A very golden evening at this Pfeiffer Beach engagement! Ali + Aubrey are such a sweet couple & I was so happy to work with them here! It was my first time shooting at Pfeiffer Beach and it did not disappoint!
Ali and Aubrey were a little nervous at first (like most couples usually are) but they did so great! I strive to make sure all of my clients feel comfortable in front of me and my camera. It can feel weird being in front of the camera!
Pfeiffer beach is a perfect location for so many different types of sessions! It’s a great spot for engagements, maternity, and especially elopements! This location is in Big Sur and offers so many cool backgrounds. The keyhole arches are so iconic to have in your photos!
However, since this is such a gorgeous location for photos, it can get pretty busy. I typically recommend my clients to shoot here on a weekday where there aren’t as many people. If you we do end up shooting on a weekend, sunrise sessions are a better option! There is a smaller parking lot for this location and if it’s full, there’s no way to access the beach.
We hopped around the beach and found a cool log for some shots with as well. That golden light paired with the sea spray made for the dreamiest session If you aren’t sure what to wear to a beach shoot, check out my Pinterest board for outfit ideas! Also, this location is down the street from Glen Oaks! This cool campground offers gorgeous Redwood backdrops for your shoot if you’d like some variety. You can see for yourself at this recent Glen Oaks proposal session!
