Windansea Beach Sunset Engagement | Kyle + Cara

A beautiful Windansea Beach sunset engagement! Kyle + Cara are such a sweet couple & I was so excited to work with them! These cuties had been through a lot leading up to the session so I wanted to make it extra special for them both.

Cara told me they wanted a beach where they could run into the water and get some shots with their bathing suits. We decided on Windansea Beach and had so much fun hanging out at running around during sunset!

Windansea beach is a perfect location for so many different types of sessions! It’s a great spot for engagements, family, and especially elopements! This location is in San Diego and offers so many unique options. Depending on the time of year, low tide is around sunset and it makes for such a cool background with the tide caves and water!

However, since this is such a gorgeous location for photos, it can get pretty busy. I typically recommend my clients to shoot here on a weekday where there aren’t as many people. If you we do end up shooting on a weekend, sunrise sessions are a better option!

Once we finished up on the cliffs, we went down to the beach to get our feet wet. We even saw a sea lion! It popped up by where we were on the beach and we had to get some shots with it. Kyle + Cara changed into their swimsuits and ran into the water! It was a nice warm summer evening and the water was surprisingly warm!
